About communities

Communities are shared spaces that provide support for discussions, wikis, and files. Users can invite other users to join communities, and create their own communities.

Only regular users can invite other users to join a community.
When a user creates a community, they are considered to be that community's owner. Communities can also have moderators.

Community owners defined
Each community has an owner. This is the person or group who either created the community or has control of the community.

Community moderators defined
Moderators are users who have been given permission to approve community content in communities that require approval of member contributions, and delete community content. The first job of a moderator is to teach users how to perform tasks for themselves. They also monitor community activity. If they can't perform a task, the custodian can do it for them.
