Installing the Symantec AntiVirus Engine

You can install the Symantec AV Engine version 4.3 on Windows, Linux, and Sun Solaris operating systems. Currently, you cannot install the Symantec AV Engine on Mac OS X. Regardless of the platform upon which you install your scan engine, it cannot communicate with Internet Services running on a Mac OS X machine.
